An Excerpt from my Novel

I have been working on this novel for a little bit. And so far it has 4 and 1/4 pages with font size 11, 1955, words here is the Excerpt:

King of the Imperial City,

Goblins are rampaging through Grendale killing all that stand in their way. The city guards have been slaughtered and farmers are locking the doors. In fact I would not be surprised if you don’t get this letter. Now would you please send several of your best men immediately?

“Hmmmm… Gragrar do we have any knights left in the reserve?”asked King Kimar
“No, my lord they all went off to war.”
“Could you do me a favor and go to the farm city Grendale and kill the goblins rampaging the city.”
“Why should we care about Grendale?” Gragrar asked
“Don’t you know, fool, I thought as head of the City Guard you would know that is where we get our produce!” bellowed Kimar
“Oh, I’m sorry lord I had forgotten.”
“Now, take your five best men and rid Grendale of those horrible fiends.”
When Gragrar left the room he went immediately to the barracks to pick the soldiers to go on the journey. When he entered the barracks he saw many of them were sleeping and some were writing in their personal journals. “Up off the ground I have an important announcement to make.”
